Job Description – Food Processing Operator
Position: Food Processing Operator
Location: Varennes, Quebec
Job Type: Full-time – Shift starts at 6:00 AM
Department: Production
Direct Supervisor: Production Team Lead / Line Supervisor
Salary: Between $19 and $21/hour, based on experience

Position Summary
We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual with hands-on knowledge in pastry or food processing to join our production team.
The person in this role will actively participate in manufacturing operations, from assembling products to packaging, while supporting team members with best practices related to transformation processes. The role takes place in an automated industrial environment supported by an ERP system (Bluebee) and digital sanitation protocols (Valet).

Main Responsibilities
• Prepare pastry recipes, strictly following established formulations, procedures, and hygiene standards
• Supply production lines with ingredients and components (shells, ganache, fillings, packaging)
• Collaborate with the team to ensure proper execution of pastry transformation processes (assembly, textures, coating, etc.)
• Support line operators by providing expert input on textures, visuals, and quality standards
• Visually inspect products during and after the production line
• Assist in packaging operations: wrapping, labeling, verifying format compliance
• Occasionally supervise or support cleaning operations, ensuring sanitation protocols are followed
• Clean and maintain one’s workstation and equipment daily, and assist with broader production area cleaning as needed
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF standards, and ensure accurate traceability in the ERP

Candidate Profile
• Experience in industrial food production or high-volume pastry making
• Solid understanding of pastry transformation processes
• Comfortable in a computerized and structured environment
• Precision, attention to detail, and ability to follow set procedures
• Team spirit, reliability, and punctuality
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to read and understand French is required
• Bilingual in French and Spanish: a strong asset
